In commemoration of World Mental Health Day on October 10, Tenderhearts Schools Calabar joined the global community in promoting mental wellness and awareness. Our school welcomed esteemed experts, Mr Atsu Obase and Mrs Chinwe Effiong, from the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Calabar, to sensitise our students on the importance of maintaining good mental health for optimal academic performance.

Student Session: "Mental Health Matters"

The engaging session focused on:

  • Recognising signs of mental stress

  • Managing emotions and peer pressure

  • Building resilience and self-care habits

  • Seeking help when needed

Teacher's Session: "Self-Care for Educators"

Our dedicated teachers also benefited from a specialized workshop, emphasizing:

  • Managing workload and stress

  • Prioritising self-care and relaxation techniques

  • Identifying early warning signs of burnout

  • Maintaining a healthy work-life balance

At Tenderhearts Schools, we understand that mental wellness is crucial for academic success and overall well-being. We're committed to creating a supportive environment that encourages open discussions and promotes healthy habits.

Tenderhearts Schools Aba joined the global community to mark World Mental Health Day. 🤔This year's theme was: ' It is Time To Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace'. We switched the Workplace to our school environment. It was an inspiring and unforgettable experience as our proprietress, Mrs Uzo Eni Amogu graced the occasion. 🥰As an astute personality and psychologist, she helped the students reflect on and nurture their mental well-being. We had a good time finding out what stresses the children and it was very revealing. The event as a whole was awesome!!!!!😍😀
